Responsible for a population of around 23,000, the Gilbert Bain Hospital is the main facility in the region, with local bhospital and community services provided from here. Visiting consultants from NHS Grampian provide out-patiuent clinics as well as in-patient and day-case surgery which supplements care provided bylocally-based consultants ingeneral medicine, psychiatry and other areas.
