Key Facts

With a population of just under 105,000, 5% of those living in East Lothian live in the most deprived Scottish quintile, while 18% live in the least deprived quintile. Deep-seated health inequalities, alongside increasing demand and rising costs such as prescribing expenditure, are identified as some of the main drivers for change that the IJB hopes to bring about. As of July 2018 there were 15 GP surgeries.
