Key Facts

The three localities of West Inverclyde, Central Inverclyde and East Inverclyde have a combined population of around 79,000 people and as of July 2018 there were 14 GP practices. In terms of Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation statistics, Inverclyde has 114 data zones, 50 of which are in the 20% most deprived areas in Scotland. The area has been a test site for the Care About Physical Activity programme, commissioned by the Scottish Government to build on the skills, knowledge and confidence of social care staff to enable those they care for to increase their levels of physical activity.
