Key Facts

As of July 2018 there were 20 GP practices in the area serving the region’s six localities and 112,000 inhabitants. Troon, Prestiwick, Ayr North and Villages, Ayr South and Coylton, Maybole and North Carrick, and Girvan and South Carrick constitute the six localities, each of which have a health and wellbeing profile. South Ayrshire participates in the HARP tired community rehabilitation programme which supports a range of morbidities, including cardiac, pulmonary, cancer and stroke patients.
