Responsible for developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) has a Scotland-wide role in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development. It maintains a local perspective through centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness, and also cooperates with regulatory bodies and other organisations that are concerned with the development of the health and care workforce, including the General Medical Council, universities and other professional bodies.
