This year’s event promises to be something special, not just because it’s our 20th anniversary.

The UK Stroke Forum (UKSF) is the largest multidisciplinary stroke conference in the UK – where researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and professionals from across the stroke pathway come together under one roof.

It’s where ideas spark, evidence is challenged, breakthroughs are shared, and networks are built. Whether you’re driving change on the ground or influencing national strategy, UKSF is where it all comes together.

And on 25 – 27 November 2025, it’s coming to Scotland.

With new Scottish Stroke Statistics set to be published on 12 August – and with stroke being a leading cause of death, and the leading cause of disability, in Scotland – there’s never been a more important time to come together, connect with colleagues, and push forward progress.

UKSF lands in Aberdeen at exactly the right moment to spotlight Scotland’s leadership in stroke care and open the door to new partnerships across the UK.

This year’s conference and programme has been expertly shaped by Professor Christine Roffe, UKSF Chair, and Professor Lisa Kidd, our Outgoing Chair, along with a fantastic committee made up of members from our coalition organisations and our lived experience group, individuals who contributed a session and of course Team UKSF.

Together, they’ve crafted a line-up of sessions designed to challenge thinking, share the latest innovations, and celebrate the work being done across the sector. Curious to hear what our Chair is most excited about? You can catch her reflections in a short video available here now.

And while the content is central, UKSF is about more than what happens in the lecture hall.

With Aberdeen’s much-loved Christmas Village in full swing outside Marischal College, there’ll be a festive atmosphere in the air – from twinkling lights and artisan gifts to food, drink, and plenty of good conversation.

Later this summer, we’ll also be sharing a mix of optional social activities for you to enjoy away from UKSF, from guided wildlife walks and stargazing under the Dark Skies, to behind-the-scenes visits at the BioHub and Suttie Centre. Plus, we’ll be curating a local food guide – with exclusive discounts – thanks to our very own Aberdeen foodie insider.
